There are arguments for both points of view; but how are these points of view being expressed? By the placing of priority on one or the other. In other words, some say that we need to place more effort into worshipping the Lord in the Spirit. While others will say that the study of the Word of God is more of a priority. So to find the answer we need to go back in scripture where they are first mentioned.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
Genesis 1:1-3
