We Need Revival

We need revival! I hear it over and over again. I see it on social media. People are crying out for revival! What does God’s word say about it?

There are many things we ask, plead and pray to God to receive. We want Him to simply give them to us or if we’re super poetic… to lavish these blessings onto our lives. How many things are we praying about that God has already given us instruction to gain ourselves?

The law of the Lord is perfect,^[c]
    reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
    making wise the simple;
⁸ the precepts of the Lord are right,
    rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
    enlightening the eyes;
⁹ the fear of the Lord is clean,
    enduring forever;
the rules^[d] of the Lord are true,
    and righteous altogether.
¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold,
    even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
    and drippings of the honeycomb.
¹¹ Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
    in keeping them there is great reward.

WISOM
REJOICING
ENLIGHTENED VISION
ENDURANCE
RIGHTEOUSNESS… all found in the word of the Lord

In fact, King David described God’s word (law, testimony, precepts, commandments, fear and rules) as:
PERFECT
SURE
RIGHT
PURE
CLEAN
TRUE
FINE GOLD
SWEETER THAN HONEY
WARNING
AVENUE TO GREAT REWARD

It is HIGHLY possible that the very things you’re praying for is to be found by seeking God through studying His word… YOUR BIBLE.

So ask yourself, have you ever sought REVIVAL through God’s word or has it only been through a special church service, through special worship or through special prayer. You may be missing what you’re needing because you’re looking in all the wrong places. Start with the Bible and go from there.
