The Success Delusion

The American culture generally views acquisition as the measure of success: The more we acquire, the more successful we have become. This ideology has infiltrated the mindset and belief system of the American church, making Christianity nothing more than a harvest-hoarding pursuit of Godliness, bent on personal gain. This is problematic considering the Kingdom message finds its solidity in the foundational truths of sacrifice (Ephesians 5:2), service (Galatians 5:13), and poverty (Matthew 5:3).
