Matthew 5:13 (ESV)“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.”
I am annoyed. I’m annoyed with how many professing Christians are constantly so negative. Recently, Pastor Shawn Gray made the decision to step away from social media. I’m on the brink of making the same decision. Not for the same reasons. I’m growing increasingly tired of negative Christians.
We are called to be the salt of the earth. You are supposed to be an enticing seasoning that makes the world hungry for the Gospel. We are suppose to steer the world to Jesus, not away. Why do I go through my social media feeds and see more posts about what my Christian friends are angry about than what they’re celebrating?
Are you being the salt of the earth, or are you just being salty?
