“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but it is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3:9 NKJV

What this scripture says is that our God is patient with ALL His children, not just the chosen few. He wants all of His children in heaven alongside Him, singing praises and walking streets of gold. The notion that evil exists so that we may see the light is a poor contrast for His will and ways. As a mother, my heart’s desire is that both my children go to heaven, not just one or the other. So why would we accuse God of less? Why would we take it upon ourselves to justify evil in such a way that He did not intend? We know that humans can change and that brothers and sisters no longer have to suffer in their sinful and destructive ways. Yet we indict them daily for not walking a path WE deem righteous and holy. We need to focus less on others paths and more on the road ahead of ourselves. Sit back, relax and leave the judgment to God.
