God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24
Praise the Lord that for those who have been given new life in Christ, and a living spirit has been renewed in our mortal bodies, we can praise and worship God right where we are. Right now in this moment. We don’t have to take a journey to a mountain, we don’t have to be surrounded by the perfect circumstances or situations. God is present with us, because the Holy Spirit is IN us! Worshiping God is as simple as taking breath, slowing down, tuning out the moving world around you, and beginning to meditate on the truth of God’s Word. Even something as simple as “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) or “God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalms 46) can give you an anchor in the Lord when you feel like you’re on shaky ground. Today, worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
