Secret Lives

1Chronicles 28:9,  “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought.”

Gabriel García Márquez, a Colombian novelist, wrote: “Everyone has three lives: a public life, a private life, and a secret life.”

I believe that the majority of people are mostly concerned about how their public lives are seen. I also believe that many are concerned with how others see their private lives. That’s probably why we do a quick clean in our homes before visitors arrive. But what about the secret part of our lives that we will only trust to those who are closest to us? I believe that even those people only know the smallest part of those secret areas. But how often do we consider the fact that not only does the Lord fully know those areas, He knows the ‘Why’ behind them too?

Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
