Say Yes To His Best

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV

Jeremiah 29:11 is a well known scripture. We love to think about how God has great plans for our lives. He cares for you and wants the BEST for you! However, the next couple verses don’t get quoted quite as often.

Receiving God’s best means seeking God’s best! It doesn’t just plop out of the sky. It doesn’t show up express two-day shipping. You have to seek it out. God’s best requires some sacrifice. To say yes to something, you must say no to something else. If you’re going to say yes to God’s best, you have to so no to other things. No to selfish desires. No to sin. No to things that aren’t pointing you closer to God.

Say “Yes” to His BEST!
