Question: Why do bad things happen to good people?

Let’s define the word ‘good’ = Noun: “That which is morally right; righteousness.”

Now let’s see what the Bible’s perspective is: “For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

So, let’s reverse the question: Why do good things happen to bad people?

Let’s define the word ‘bad’ = Adjective: “Of poor quality or a low standard.”

Now let’s see what the Bible’s perspective is:  “You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you, so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Mat 5:43-45)

The fact that He sent His Son to die for every one of us should tell us something!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:16-17)
