Keys

19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:19

In Matthew, Jesus talks about the keys to the kingdom. He shows us that accessing the things we want requires us to use the appropriate key. Don’t be frustrated that you can’t get access to the things you desire. Ask yourself, “Am I using the right key?”

I overheard someone in a small group this week say, “I started going to church because I need some peace.” This is why people can’t stay in one church. They move church to church trying to find peace.  Church is not the key for peace. In fact, I pastor this church and I am here every day of the week and it has been known to take AWAY my peace at times. Church is not the key for peace. Keeping your mind stayed on Him is the key for peace.

3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Isaiah 26:3

I overheard someone else say, “I need to get on my knees and pray. I have large financial needs.” You can pray until your knees are sore and your mouth is parched. Prayer isn’t the key for money. Money is the key for money.

38Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:38

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi 3:10
