Years ago, I saw the comic strip of Charlie Brown bringing out Snoopy’s dinner on Thanksgiving Day, but it was just his usual dog food in a bowl. So, Snoopy took one look at the dog food and said, “This isn’t fair. The rest of the world today is eating turkey with all the trimmings and all I get is dog food. Why? Because I’m a dog, so all I get is dog food?”
But, He stood there and stared at his dog food for a moment, then he said, “I guess it could be worse. I could be a turkey.”
The Bible says: “Do everything without complaining and arguing” Philippians 2:14
It’s so easy to complain sometimes when we focus only on the negative things, but complaining won’t fix anything it will just make your life more miserable. When you focus on the good, you can live a life free of complaints.
No matter what things around you look like, keep moving ahead!
Do everything without complaining… that is the advice that we find in the Bible.
We are starting a new year, and instead of complaining about how bad 2016 was… Let’s look ahead with Faith and great Hope in God that 2017 will be a great year.
Less complaining, less arguing and more living by Faith. Know that even when we don’t see it, God is working on our behalf. Even if you are in a bad situation right now, maybe you can look around and realize: It could be worse. Be positive, have the right perspective and you will live a better life.
