Hope In the Promise

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

We live in a world where everyone wants to see results. We want to see the final product. We’re growing more and more impatient. Microwaves, cell phones, social media, and more have been working to create an impatient culture.

Through scripture and the voice of the Holy Spirit, if you will seek Him, God has good plans for your life. He’s a miracle working God who desires to bless you (Matt. 7:11). It’s true. The catch is, most of these good plans come with a  process. There’s a waiting period. The soil in your life has to be tilled and fertilized.

When your hope is in the promise, and not the product or outcome, you can go through the growth process with joy and peace. The promise is good. The process may have some bumps in the road. We were promised the “easy peasy”. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or doesn’t have much understanding of scripture.

Keep your hope in His good promises.
