Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”, which is the first commandment with a promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

Happy Father’s Day! I hope each and every earthly father feels loved and honored on this day that is set aside to celebrate you and that you receive love in the measure that you have loved your children. Dads, I hope you know that you were made to be blessing to your children, and that through the positive relationships forged between you and your children you are increasing their longevity on the earth. What an awesome responsibility, and we THANK YOU for every way in which you pour into your families and lead them in the way of the Lord.
I am equally grateful to our God for His many blessings and provision to His children! If this principle of honoring our fathers works in the natural, I’m convinced so much more will we have increased life on the earth when we honor our Heavenly Father. Take the opportunity to bless your father and your Father today and every day for the good works done.
