Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Anyone who calls themselves a Christian would want to follow Jesus’ example as best they can. We must know His teachings in order to do this. One thing He taught is that it is better to give than receive. He wants us to live a generous life, to have a heart for others over ourselves. The act of generosity is just the beginning, God values the way we give as well; so give cheerfully.
