It is in the storms of life that we see the true condition of our heart. Much like a house built on the sand, our heart is revealed when the barometric pressure of our life rises. Sometimes God allows the storms of life to strike you with force so you can see the truth of your condition. It affords us the opportunity to repent and build on something other than superficial appearances, not indicative of who we truly are.
