Almost a Christian

“And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”

Acts 26:28

What you might be instead of a Christian

  • Born in a Christian country.
  • Brought up in a Christian family.
  • Educated in a Christian fashion.
  • Buried in a Christian manner.

What is a Christian?

  • One who has received Christ.
  • One who belongs to Christ.
  • One who is like Christ.
  • One who serves Christ.

What is it to be an “Almost Christian”?

  • It is to see your need and not confess it.
  • It is to wish to be saved and remain undecided.
  • It is to be at the door, but still outside.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

Matthew 7:21-23

Please don’t be an “Almost Christian.”
