If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Within a few days of reading this scripture last week, I watched Batman. As I was looking at Two-Face, I was given a great visual of how God sees us when we approach him with doubt in our hearts.
A doubt filled prayer is like standing on a scale with a donut in your hand… What are you really expecting to achieve?
To many people live without seeing God do amazing things in their lives… simply because they doubt He will.
Here’s a few things to think about when praying:
1.What sin do you need to confess before making your request?
2.Does your request line up with scripture?
3.What does your prayer require from you?
