Treading on Troubles

“Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God[a] is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.” —Habakkuk 3:17-19, NKJV

Do you need some encouragement today? If the answer is YES…reread that verse above. If the answer is NO, I’M GOOD TODAY…reread that verse above and store it in your memory bank for tomorrow. Basically, no matter what our day is like, encouragement is always needed.

There are some powerful words here and not much for me to add to. Let the Lord speak to you today.

ASK— Even if my efforts fail, will I still rejoice in the Lord? What is the source of my joy? What is the source of my strength? Do I really believe God will make me walk on top of my troubles?
