The Same But Different

I heard a story about a blind man sitting on the sidewalk, with a hat at his feet and a piece of cardboard that, written in it with a marker, said: “PLEASE HELP ME, I AM BLIND.”

An advertising creative who was passing by stopped and looked at a few coins in his hat. Without asking for permission he took the cardboard sign, turned it around, took a marker and wrote another message on it…

He put the piece of cardboard back on the blind man’s feet and left. In the afternoon the creative returned to check on the blind man begging for money and his hat was full of bills and coins.

The blind man recognized his steps and asked if it was he the one who rewrote his sign, and above all, what he had put on it?

The publicist answered “Nothing that is not as true as your advertisement, but in other words,” he smiled and went on his way. The blind man never knew, but his new sign read: “TODAY IS BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY, AND I CAN NOT SEE IT”.

Just a change of perspective and creativity can turn something that is not working into a success.

How many times in our lives things don’t work out, and we get angry, we fight and we become sad when maybe we should change some things, sometimes just a little bit, to make things go well.

Maybe we have problems with the people around us and we never receive help, when maybe what we have to do is simply smile. No matter what your situation; stop, analyze, review. Get creative. Look things from a different perspective. If necessary correct and even change something if necessary.

Fortunately on the road of life, Jesus always allows us to do a “U” Turn.

Psalms 118: 24 says:
This is the day that the Lord has made; We will rejoice and Be Glad in it.

Choose today to see the opportunities instead of the problems. The positive instead of the negative.
Don’t give up. Don’t Get Angry or frustrated. Sometimes you just have to keep doing the same thing but in a Different way. Be creative and enjoy each day and each moment.
