Are you experiencing one of those times when it appears like each effort to fix an issue is met with another trouble? You thank the Lord for His help dealing with something when suddenly you find that something different has turned out badly and the issue remains.
When you are in a situation like that, remember what the gospel of Luke says in chapter 18: “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up”
I have read this passage many times, and maybe you too are familiar with the story of the persistent widow… yet maybe never completely understood why Jesus told this story (Luke 18:2-8). But the teaching is very clear: “Always Pray and never Give up”
Prayer is not a method for forcing God to do what we need. It is more of a way that helps us to recognize His Power and His plan for our lives. In Prayer we yield our lives and conditions to the Lord of Lords and completely trust Him to act in His time and in His way.
As we depend on God’s grace for the answer of our prayers as well as for the “How it will be done”, we can continue going to the Lord and King in petition, always trusting in His Wisdom, Power and knowing that He truly cares about us…
So remember that our Lord’s encouragement to us is clear: Always pray and don’t give up!
