Do you ever read a scripture and think, “Well that is pretty straight forward.”? It honestly doesn’t happen often for me but I am so pumped when it does. There’s not much I can really add to the following verse from Paul to the Colossian church.
So I ask you to s l o w d o w n and spend a minute or two meditating on the following two verses. I’ll even write 10 statements/questions to get you started because I thrive with to-do lists. (Even though I wrote an epic one today and left it at home. Err.)
“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” —Colossians 4:5-6 NLT
2.Live wisely with those who don’t believe the same way you do.
3.Don’t waste opportunities with non-believers.
4.Talk WITH (not at) non-believers…have a conversation.
5.Don’t argue with non-believers.
6.Your words should be gracious and attractive (and seasoned with salt–Greek translation).
7.All of these things are to lead to you having a right response to them.
8.What is a right response?
9.Do you live among non-believers or avoid them?
10.How are your conversations gracious, attractive and full of salt?
